Naberius – Cursed Blood; the come-back opus from one of the most notorious black metal bands made in Slovenia was set to be unleashed on Haliaetum Records.

Hellsword and their lethal mixture of old school speed/black metal in the vein of Bathory, Venom, Possessed, Hellhammer and other cult names that made metal history show us with Blasphemy Unchained that the real old school attitude is far from being dead; in fact, it is very much alive and stands proud!

Fall 2011

Haliaetum Records expanded it’s tentacles again over a pure old school gem; Vigilance released their debut album entitled “Steeds of Time” as a statement invoking pure,  dirty old school speed / heavy metal!

2005 – early 2011

Haliaetum Records was established in 2005, initially under the name of Histria Cult Records. With the aim to support the Slovenian metal scene with releases, affiliate promotion and concerts booking with honest, hard work – soon our rooster grow up in having some of the oldest names in Slovenian metal scene and known world-widely such as heavy metal legends Lene Kosti with over thirteen years of madness behind them; or what about the speed metal masters Turbo whom stoned their name in Slovenian and international history with albums like The Power of Metal and A Glimpse of Home; followed by Sarcasm, one of the first Slovenian thrash metal bands that broke into mainstream with their masterpiece from 1989 entitled Crematory.

Among other new-coming acts in the Slovenian underground involved in the tree of Haliaetum Records like the bay area influenced thrashers Thraw and on the other side straight from the grave the black metal monstrosity Torka. Haliaetum Records raised some of them and catapulted into the international scene! The black metal butchers Bleeding Fist after two releases under our banner signed with the legendary American extreme label Moribund Records and in May 2011 they released the third sacrament entitled “Devil’s Ferox”.In 2010 Haliaetum Records expanded its tentacles abroad with the first  release of non-local artist – bestial war-machine straight from Singapore – mighty Impiety! In 2011 another great Slovenian act inked the soul to our roster; Nephrolith, cold black metal with an evil and high potential to become the next upcoming big act in the worldwide black metal scene!

Besides the massive concerts booking activities in organizations and booking services in Slovenia and abroad, Haliaetum Records is the corporation behind one of the biggest Slovenian metal festival dedicated to the underground, Haliaetum Open Air whom hosted artists such Ad Hominem, Cripple Bastards, Sanatorium, Hellsaw, Negligence, Forgotten Tomb, Purgatory (GER), among others HR acts but not only!

You’re right! All the bands involved in Haliaetum Records build its history too and without all of you and other contributors the mark that Haliaetum Records represent would be far more mild and brittle!

Haliaetum Records works and breathe under the catchword “Metal the Old Way” as this is the only direction we believe and are proud in so if you do not understand what it means than you will probably never be a part of the syndicate that Haliaetum Records represent.
